Introduction to Health & Wellness
This is an introductory course to Health & Wellness and how it can help you balance your mind, body and spirit. The class will introduce different modalities: yoga, ayurveda, meditation, breathing exercises, stress management, and relaxation techniques. The class will incorporate discussions, reading assignments, essay writing, and demonstrations on the different holistic approaches.

What is health & wellness?
Ayurveda the sister science to yoga
Yoga (gentle movement) and approaches
Meditation, breathing techniques
Self-Care ways to manage stress, anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia, etc.
Cognitive reconstructing recognizing our pattern of thoughts and behaviors.
Each week there will be a discussion to monitor the progress of the student and discuss
and share the different approaches in the class.
There will be a small selection of books that compliment the course as well as video to watch online.
Certificates are given at the completion of the course.

Sample Description of Yoga Training
This is an intensive 40 hours course, to learn the basics of yoga.
In this 40-hour course, the student will be able to teach
and sequence a 60-minute Yoga Class
In the course you will learn:
*Breathing techniques (pranayama)
*Yoga postures (asanas)
*Yoga sequencing and anatomical alignment
*Mind Body Medicine Techniques
*Relaxation and stress reduction
*Yoga in relation to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
*Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
*Relaxation Techniques (savasana) and Yoga Nidra
*CEU Certification of completion.
